Scottish Seminar
Oil Spill Issues From Offshore Drilling Operations - Lessons for the UK
A joint UKSPILL/EPS Marine Oil Spill Seminar at the Scottish Government offices, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh held on 5 October 2010.
The deepwater horizon spill in the gulf of mexico has raised issues about the spill risk from offshore oil fields. This seminar aims to explore whether the uk faces similar risks, if we are prepared for them, and what lessons we can learn.
The seminar, hosted by the Scottish Government, was supported by the UK Maritime & Coastguard Agency, (MCA), Marine Scotland, the Scottish Coastal Forum, Scottish Environmental Protection Society, (SEPA), and Oil & Gas UK, representing the UK Offshore Industry.
